Quest-ly is a social photo and video challenge app for real life. Discover creative prompts, browse how others responded, join challenges your way or create your own.
Is Quest-ly a photo challenge app or a photography competition?
It is a photo and video challenge app, not a photography competition. You do not need professional equipment or the perfect shot. Different interpretations make each challenge interesting.
Can I view challenge responses without participating?
Yes. You do not need to submit your own response before viewing other responses. Access still follows the challenge’s audience, privacy and location rules; a public website preview does not grant permission to participate in the app.
Can I create my own challenge right away?
Yes. You can create challenges for followers, a city or a Local Area without completing other challenges first. Add media and a valid title, choose the audience and duration; the description is optional. Global challenges are published by the Quest-ly team.
Can I use Quest-ly as a social challenge app with friends?
Yes. Follow people, share quests with followers and exchange direct messages. You can also make challenges for a city or Local Area.
How do photo and video quest responses work?
You can respond to a challenge with up to three photos, or one video of up to 60 seconds. Each challenge shows the required format.
What happens when a quest expires?
New responses close when the timer ends. Archived challenges and their responses remain available subject to access rules and retention; the current archive retention is 90 days after the challenge ends. Content may disappear earlier if deleted or removed for safety. Archive is not permanent storage, so keep your own originals.
Is Quest-ly free on iPhone and Android?
Quest-ly is free to download from the App Store and Google Play. Optional in-app purchases may be available.
How long can a challenge stay open?
For challenges you create, choose from 2 hours to 10 days (240 hours), including a custom duration in days and hours. Global challenges may use a different schedule; the timer and status in their details are authoritative.
Which languages does Quest-ly support?
The app supports English, Українська, Polski, Deutsch, Español, Français, Türkçe, हिन्दी, Português, Italiano, Русский. Open the profile menu → Language to choose one. This changes interface text; it does not automatically translate other people’s titles, descriptions or messages.
What does “Recommend to others” change?
For city and Local Area challenges, enabling this option allows broader discovery and a public preview on the Quest-ly website after moderation. That preview can include the title, description, media, city, and a Local Area map with its centre and radius. Turning it off removes the preview on the next page load; it does not recall copies already saved by others. Followers-only challenges are not listed publicly. Participation rules in the app remain unchanged.
